Davao Trio 2026 opens in Davao, Rigo Duterte hails expo as platform for growth

DAVAO CITY — The Davao Trio 2026 exhibitions officially opened Thursday at the SMX Convention Center Davao, gathering exhibitors, entrepreneurs, industry leaders and consumers for a four-day showcase of construction, food and tourism industries in Mindanao.

The opening ceremony of the “PHILBEX Trio” featured three major expos — PHILBEX Davao for architecture, design and construction; MAFBEX Davao for culinary excellence and food innovation; and TLEX Davao for tourism destinations and experiences.

In a message during the opening rites, Vice Mayor Rodrigo Duterte II congratulated organizers from Worldbex Services International for bringing the event to Davao City, saying the expo creates opportunities for collaboration, investment and innovation.

In a message during the opening rites, Vice Mayor Rodrigo Duterte II congratulated organizers from Worldbex Services International for bringing the event to Davao City, saying the expo creates opportunities for collaboration, investment and innovation.

“First, I extend my warmest congratulations to Worldbex Services International for mounting this highly successful and innovative expo,” Duterte said in his message.

He described the event as a dynamic platform that allows companies, entrepreneurs and consumers to explore products and services from both local and international brands.

“This trade show serves as a dynamic platform for companies, entrepreneurs, and consumers alike to explore and experience a diverse range of products and services from leading local and international brands,” he said.

Duterte also thanked the organizers for choosing Davao City as one of the expo’s key venues in the country.

“As Dabawenyos, we are truly grateful for your trust and confidence in our beloved city as one of your key venues in the Philippines,” he added. “More than opening doors to opportunities and experiences, you are bringing together people, ideas, and innovation in one vibrant space.”

The vice mayor said the impact of the exhibitions would extend beyond the four-day event by helping inspire businesses and consumers to innovate and pursue excellence.

Davao Trio 2026 runs from May 7 to May 10 at the SMX Convention Center in Lanang, Davao City.
