Annual Accomplishment Report

Reporting Period: July 2025 – July 2026

From July 2025 to July 2026, the Office of Vice Mayor Rodrigo "Rigo" Duterte II remained committed to responsive governance, people-centered legislation, and programs that uplift the lives of Dabawenyos. Guided by the principle "Serbisyo nga Nagapadayon, Dabawenyos Unahon," the Office continuously delivered initiatives that promoted public safety, healthcare, education, social welfare, and community resilience.

Legislative Accomplishments

As Presiding Officer of the 21st Davao City Council, Vice Mayor Rodrigo "Rigo" Duterte II provided leadership in advancing measures that strengthened governance and improved public services. During the reporting period, the City Council approved 1,499 resolutions and enacted 292 ordinances, including landmark measures that:

- Provide annual financial assistance to qualified Persons with Disabilities (PWDs);

​- Institutionalize the Davao City Multi-Hazard Early Warning System (MHEWS);

​- Establish the Smart Emergency Response and Locator–Computer-Aided Response and Emergency Dispatch (SERAL-CARED) System;

​- Require front-of-package nutritional information on food products;

​- Promote environmentally sustainable electric vehicle development; and

​- Enhance public safety through the integration of Artificial Intelligence (AI)-powered facial recognition technology at key entry and exit points across the city.

Disaster Response and Humanitarian Assistance

The Office continued to provide immediate assistance to communities affected by emergencies and disasters. During the reporting period:

- 29,853 food packs were distributed to affected families;

​- 2,323 families displaced by fire incidents received emergency assistance.

These interventions underscore the Office’s commitment to delivering timely, compassionate, and responsive aid during times of crisis.

Healthcare Services

Improving access to healthcare remained one of the Office’s priorities through various medical outreach programs. Key accomplishments include:

- 4,000 pairs of prescription eyeglasses distributed to residents with visual impairments;

​- 3,175 individuals served through medical missions;

​- 565 residents provided with medical assistance;

​- 176 beneficiaries received medicines and laboratory assistance; and

​- 13 wheelchairs distributed to persons with mobility challenges.

These initiatives have significantly improved the health, mobility, and overall well-being of thousands of Dabawenyos.

Education

The Office continued to invest in the future of Davao City's youth by extending educational assistance to 50 college scholars, enabling deserving students to pursue higher education despite financial constraints.

Social Welfare Programs

The Office expanded its community-based assistance programs by providing:

- 425 funeral assistance grants to grieving families;

​- Wedding assistance to 189 couples;

​- 4,386 prizes awarded during community-based Pahalipay Caravan activities; and

​- Response to 1,851 solicitations from individuals and organizations seeking support.
